it was a sunny day and i never really cared about getting all sweaty, because i loved the sun on my face walking tall while wearing my sunglasses. summer na summer pa rin.
that was my mistake... i trusted the weather. the weather being unreliable and spontaneous.
i rode the bus on my way home, when it happened. the skies joined forces and showered the hardest rain. the streets were fogged up. the roads were muddy and flooded.
i remembered what the bus driver said, "kawawa naman yung mga walang payong."
i agree to that..malas talaga, kung kelan walang dalang payong. i took a deep breath and ran as fast as i could..cause there was nothing left to do..
i was running like there was no tomorrow. i felt like an athlete pushing my limits to reach my finish line. i finished my race, and got the first place..(harharÜ)
wow, i've never seen the front of smb that jampacked. and yes, those people were having a good look at me. "wawa naman si miss nabasa..." "uy nabasa oh!" imagine the feeling of hearing that for the nth time.
"oo na. oo na. alam ko nang nabasa na ko. mga pilipino talaga parang ngayon lang nakakita ng nabasang tao. "
not only was i all wet, i was flushed with embarassment.. i should've worn a different outfit.
perfect! i wore a thin white shirt and a pair of khakis.. tangerks talaga...tsss
as i was almost out of the mall, my very last refuge from the heavy rain. taking all my pride and confidence, i braved the rain with all my glorious underwear visible. i felt like a sexy starlet filming a low budget porn flick, fulfilling the erotic fantasies of all on-looking men.. (nyaaay)
it was the most embarassing moment of my life..and i hoped that not one person i knew was there.

what i've learned from this experience?
i learned to always keep in mind what my mom told me..
"An umbrella is your BEST FRIEND!"
**di na talaga 'to mauulit, kahit pa sabihin ng weather forecast na sure na sure na walang ulan. magdadala na talaga ako.**

i would like to thank manong tryke driver.. kahit siniksik niyo lang po ako sa tryke niyo..okay lang because you took an initiative to help..thank you very much sir. Godspeed!
thank you rin kay aling naka-orange for smiling at me..you made me laugh about my experience instead
of getting mad about it.. you made me feel much better and deal with the shame..
and of course how can i forget, God thank you because all things together worked together for my good.. this experience taught me to never underestimate things and always be prepared for anything.. rock on!

0 whisper something...
i remember laughing at our maid when i heard her listening and singing along to the tunes of air supply...
at sinabi ko sa sarili ko i would never be caught dead listening to them..
pero ngayon...
wow i'm listening to them more than ever and with my eyes closed and my hands raised!
not only that i even got the hang of listening to some 80's 70's and other retro hits..like heart, the ojays, aretha, donna summers. sobrang rewind toh!
so what i've learned from this?
never underestimate the influencing power of AIR SUPPLY.. and that music really just goes around..khit i-repackage pa to pareho pa rin ng roots.. astig!!
